Question No warm water
Brand: Sears
Model Number: 110.15964400
Age: 1 - 4 years

2004 Kenmore Washer. Temp control knob has 3 settings. Hot water works, cold water works, warm water setting(middle) does not work (water comes out cold). Can you help with the cause? Thanks!!

the hot water part of the fill valve is not responding, first turn off water, unscrew hot water hose at the washer put hose in a bucket, open water valve run some water in bucket. if it flows ok look look to see if there's sand or foreign matter in the screen on the washer where you removed the hose. if every thing is clear replace the fill valve, as the selonid for the hot is defective. bettyboop

Thanks Bettyboop. But if the hot water inlet valve was not responding how am I getting hot water on the hot water setting?

you're right, could be a defective temp switch. but also the wires from the temp switch go right into the timer, that controls the wash water, then controls the rinse cold water. you could replace the temp switch first(cheaper) If that doesn't help, you might concider a new timer.Bettyboop
