Model Number: KAWS700Gq0
Age: 5 - 10 years

HI I'm new so please forgive me if I make any mistakes

can someone please help I have a Kitchenaid washer model is KAWS700GQ0 and it sounds like it works fine but it does not spin neither the center or the big drum I flipped it over but don’t see any belts that may have come off any suggestions. everything souds like it work for example on the last spin cycle the washer is making a sould like the motor is working.

Your washer is what is known as a direct drive.

It does not have a belt it has a coupler that join the motor and transmission together.

If when you move your washer you found black rubber and white fiber pieces these are parts of the coupler.

To take the washer apart remove the to screws in the control panel.

Flip the control panel up toward the wall.

In each corner you will see a brassy spring clip.

Using a large flat blade screwdriver release the clips.

Disconnect the wiring harness to the lid switch.

Open the lid and pull the cabinet toward you and lift at the same time and move the cabinet out of your way.

You will now have access to the pump and motor.

Pop the two clips off of the pump and swing the pump out of your way.

Disconnect the wiring harness to the motor.

Remove the two screw that are in the clamps on the motor.
