Default No spin cycle, bad noise
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LXR7244JQ1
Age: 1 - 4 years

not sure on the age of the washer could be 5 years but anyways,
the spin cycle has quit working....makes a terrible sound when it is engaged.....looks like it wants to go into motion but just can't...is this the transmission? what can I do to fix it or is it better left for dead?? thanks in advance!

Does it sound like a jet plane? Check out the samari appliance guy-he has a section on that.

further investigation leads me to say that it could be the motor coupler?? not sure but I will be taking it apart to find out.....who is this samuri guy?
