Default No spin cycle
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MAV6257AWW

My daughters washing machine quit working, she descibed the problem to be that the belt was slipping. Upon investigation the motor tension spring did not have sufficient pressure to keep tension on the belt. I replaced the spring and the belt and this resolved this problem but after running it through it's cycles it was found that it was not going into spin. Everything else seems to be working now, can you please advise.

With the washer empty tip it back and remove the cup in the center of the pulley.

Give the pulley a quick spin counter clock wise and see if the upper cam is engaging with the lower cam.

Check the cam for wear.

Here is a link to your washer model MAV6257AWW.
