Kenmore 70 series model # 110-20702990 will not agigtate or spin. Motor and coulper are alright.

Prior to stopping all together, machine would stop the middle of cycles. had bang on door near lid switch to get it going or advance the cycle knob.

Need more advice before purchasing lid switch

It does sound like the lid switch is faulty or the bracket is broken.

Check the lid switch with a meter.

Well i changed the lid switch and it probably was necessary but i am still having the same problem.

Although this time after i put the unit back together i changed the agigtation/spin switch to hand wash extra slow and i got slight movement.

But it did not last. Coupler is in tack. Help Me Again

Pull cover off timer and check for burnt contacts. If ok, probably a bad wire to motor, just check.
