Default No Spin
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MAH3000AWW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Maytag washer model # MAH3000AWW. The washer would not spin to let out all the water out of the tub. The tub would empty, but not fully. A growling noise can be heard after majority of water emptied. It sounds like the tub is spinning but not in the high RPM's. The door would not lock as well. I have replaced the wax motor; part #12002535 and the control board; part # 12001725. The control board resistor was burned at R11. The door now locks but the problem still exist where the tub will not empty fully and no high RPM revelations can NOT be heard & the growling can still be heard.. What else could be the problem?

This could be the motor control board.

You probably have one phase of your motor open. Pull service paper from inside and test motor per the instructions.
