Angry No drain, fills to overflowing
Brand: Crosley
Age: 1 - 4 years

MY Crosley washer sometimes fills the water to overflowing. It doesn't do it all the time, and it doesn't matter what setting sm, med, lg, hot, cold it is on. However, if I change any of the settings, I'm guaranteed to flood my house! I haven't been able to find the model number, but I've got to get this problem fixed. It floods into my bedroom with hardwood floors that are now completely trashed! Please help!

Default

You will have to find your Model number if you end up needing a part
Just do a google "appliance model number location" some site should come up with the location or try Crosley website

Your water level is probably controlled by an air pressure switch
A piece of tubing runs down to the bottom of your tub
As the tub fills it traps air in the tube
Increasing the air pressure as it fills until it trips the shut off switch to the valves
Just take your control module apart and you will see it usually has clear tubing
So your problem could be a water level switch going wonky or a piece of crud blocking this tube once in a while

Could also be a water valve which is sticking open once in a while

Since this unit can cause major damage I would replace both
