Question No agitate during wash or rinse
Brand: Kelvinator
Model Number: MXW233REW1
Age: 5 - 10 years

washer fills but does not move back and forth during cycle just forward motion, same thing in rinse and sounds like a very dry bearing when spinning,it drains and fills fine. My first thought was the motor not working properly in one direction can you help?

Can you please verify your model number as I can not locate it in our database?

It should be on a tag with the serial number.

Remove the front panel and so you can see what is going on.

It could be that the idler pulley is not putting tension on the belt.

Here is a link to the parts of your washer model MWX233REW1.
