Question Need help in replacing pump!
Brand: Speed Queen
Model Number: awm393w

Hello to the wonderful person that helps!

We had a bad leak in our machine on the floor. We took a part the washer and lone behold the leak is comign from the bottom of the pump! we haven't totally disconnected it but running water into it clearly makes the water drip out of the bottom underside of the pump (also if you fill the tub and leave it alone off the water will all drain out of the tub all over the floor eventually)
The leak is also obviously worse with spinning....

We have managed to do a lot of the work to get the pump disconnected, but it is not completely done cuz the belt is still connected and the pump is still connected to everything except hte bolts holding the metal frame that holds the pump and holds up the motor.
Could someone please walk us through how to get the old pump off the machine... and then how to put it back together! (I'm a bit mechanically challenged without directions!)

Again we have already:

Taken off the front of the washer.
Disconnected the electrical stuff from the motor (just for safety... lol)
Disconnected the hoses/tubes coming in and out of the pumps
Taken the bolts off the mounting spot for the pump/motor

Belt is still connected and motor is still up over the top of the pump.

ANy help would be appreciated! We should get the new pump in the mail in the next two days and would LOVE to know how to fix it without breaking the belt.

Thanks again!

Remove the motor from the washer and turn it upside down.

Remove the bolt and nut holding the pump to the motor.

You have most of the work done.

Here is a link to your washer model awm393w.

So does this help you get the belt off?? We're just worried about breaking it. THe belt is connected to teh motor not the pump right? I can' tsee very well in there, my husband has bene working on it and asked me to find out how to fix it....

If the pump isn't connected to the belt never mind! lol

Once you loosen the motor the belt will come off the transmission pulley.

Then the belt ,the pump and the motor come out.
