Default NAV6800AWW Leaking from Center
Brand: Amana
Model Number: NAV6800AWW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I think I have a main seal leak...problem is that I cant get to it as it has these proprietary and funky plastic vaned nuts on it. Do I need a special tool to get this off?

Would I just be better off replacing the machine?

Thoughts?

Yes there is a special tool that is needed to remove the nut.

These special tools are usually only available to authorized servicer dealers.

If you know someone that is a services appliances you may be able to borrow it.

Here is a link to your washer model NAV6800AWW.
