My washer doesn't go past the wash cycle, it stops when it is supposed to start spinning. It goes through the wash cycle over and over.

What exactly is happening?

Does the washer pause with no motor running or is the motor running?

Does the timer continue through the cycle or is it stuck in one spot?

Here is a link to your washer model SAV515DEWW.

it pauses with no motor running and all of a sudden it starts the wash cycle again but does not go past the wash cycle. The timer is stuck on one spot. I manually move the timer and then nothing happens until it decides to start on its own.

So when it start again does it drain and spin or does it wash?

Will the washer drain?

If you advance the timer to the spin cycle will it spin?

It washes over and over and does not drain unless I advance the timer myself. Sometimes when I advance the timer, it takes a while to start again regardless of which cycle it is on.

It sounds like the timer will have to be replaced.
