I have this white westinghouse washer that just up and died on me. I came in from the garden and the house was filled with smoke from the motor running but not spinning out. The water was drained from the washer but the clothes were soaked and not spun out....what part do you think I need to repair....any help I would be ETERNALLY grateful....with 2 kids, husband, 2 dogs and a cat I can't wait much longer with out going loco...lol...thanks for any help offered.

Remove the front panel and check the belt it is likely burnt off.

If the belt burnt off then something in the washer has seized up.

Check the idler pulley.

Try the washer in the spin cycle to see if the motor is working.

Can you please provide your model number?

The number you gave was the part number for the control panel.
