Default Motor continuously Starts and Stops during Slow Agitate and Spin Cycle
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WJSE4150B1WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

My GE washer fills, empties and fast agitates fine. When running the Slow Agitate or Spin cycle the motor continuously starts then immediately stops, over and over. It must be drawing a lot of current because it makes the house lights flicker to the "beat" of the starting motor. During the Spin cycle if I open and close the lid a dozen times the spin cycle will eventually catch and complete the cycle. I’ve replaced the clutch to no avail. When I run the self test from the control panel it says the slow agitate fails but not the spin.
