 Maytage Neptune top loader runs but does not spin Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
First of all, the washer started vibrating a few months ago. Then, just the other day it suddenly stopped spinning. The motor runs fine, the water pump is working fine, and the belt is perfect. However, it just doesn't rotate. While disassembling the washer, I noticed the shaft (that drives the trasnmission) turns easily one way, but it sticks if you turn it the other way. Also the E-clip (which holds on the pulley) was broken. I think it's a clutch or transmission problem. Anyone have any ideas or input? Thanks in advance! |
