The washer will run on the spin cycle but water will not come in.

Are you saying that no water will come in at all, or no water will come in on the rince cycle? Turn the washer on to wash, and ask for hot water, if you get it , try the cold water. if you don't get the cold water, clean the screans in the water valve, and give it try.
