Sounds like my solenoid valve for the cold water is LOUDLY chattering, not letting cold water in, hot works fine.

Just ordered a new valve and hose clamp, any suggestions for removing and replacing the valve? Does not seem like it would take a scientist to complete....

The only things that you should do are shut the water off and unplug the washer.

Well, after replacing the valve, same problem....turns out I forgot that I bought stainless steel water hoses that have SAFETY valves in them. The flood valve was shutting the cold water off and on rapidly. So, I reset the hose. It did it again after slowly turning the cold water back to full. I had to leave the water turned only to about 1/4 on. Maybe I need to buy a new hose. They have only been on the washer about 4 or 5 months. I kept resetting the hose (removing it, put it back on) and it still slams shut. Any other suggestions?

You should check the warranty on the hoses.

Sound like the valve is defective.
