Default Maytag washer water leak
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: SAV5910EWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

First of all, I had a Maytag washer and dryer in the early 90's that worked great till we decided to upgrade to this set cuz the other ones were getting old! This set is JUNK!!!!!!!! Trouble right now is water leaking above the transmission. Can I replace the seal myself? How involved is it? Will it be costly?

Thinking about fixing this machine and selling it, and getting the frontloaders. Epic models. Can anyone shed light on these? From what I have read, people like these models!

You need a tub seal assembly. The part # is 204012. This is righty losen, and lefty tighten. Messes everybody up. I would not buy a front loader with your money. I would buy a Fisher & Paykel. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
