Default Maytag washer timer???
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: lat8214aae
Age: More than 10 years

Washer does nothing and stopped in middle of rinse cycle with full tub.
fuse ok. receptacle on wall ok also tried other receptacle. timer does not advance.
manual advance of timer results in no function. removal of timer and timer plastic cover reveals broken "tine" and scorch mark in adjacent area. scematic shows this "tines" function as motor interrupter. I am hoping it is the timer as I have purchased one from you. any input is nice.
thanx

Sounds like a timer. If you have a meter, I would check motor current after you install new timer, sometimes excessive motor current will blow out timer.
