Question Maytag Washer Problem HELP
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: LAT9457BAE
Age: 5 - 10 years

Please Help! My washer agitator VERY easily will just come off. It is not broken that you can see at all. I don't know why it does this. It has a fabric softener cup on the top of it. Otherwise it works great. The part that is screwed to the bottom stays on fine, it is the second part of the agitator that will just come right up and off. HELP!!!!!

There may be a broken piece that you are not seeing.

Here is a link to the breakdown of your washer model LAT9457BAE.

If you look at the agitator in the diagram you will see that there are what looks like it could be a locking mechanism.

They do not list these part separately you have to get the agitator as a unit.
