Cool Maytag washer leaks from bottom
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: dependable care
Age: More than 10 years

I filled the washer and took kids to school. When I returned, I noticed water leaking fron under the washer. The washer worked perfectly, and no water leaked during the cycles. I started another load and the same thing happened.
This machine is in a strange spot and it rocks, and walks, and I cant leval it. ANy suggestions?? Thanks

I had the same problem this morning! My maytag will be 10 years old in july. The model # is LAT850AAE, is perfetly level and does not shake. I tried a wash cycle without clothes observing without the front panel but no water was leaking. I will try it again with clothes.
I think the problem may lie in the transition pieces connecting the outer tub and the tranmission. Looks very hard to change and am wondering if it's worth the hassle. Getting a repairman in long island is too expensive. Hope we get a tech out there that can help us make a decision.

Thank You for your help. I will probably leave well enough alone. The funny thing is that it does not leak when it is running. Its in a wierd spot and to get at it I would have to dis-connect the gas dryer ( next to it) move it, and it would be a huge production. Thanks for the tip!!!
