Default Maytag Washer Leak Water Underneath
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: A212
Age: More than 10 years

I have a 17 year old Maytag A212 washer. A slow stream of water appears on the floor ONLY when it is started in the HOT / COLD function. The puddle of water appears on the left side (facing the washer) and appears to be coming through the opening of the left rear leveling leg underneath the washer. No leaks are coming from the hose or hose connections. HELP!

What is the temperature that you normally use?

If you normally use cold/cold setting then it could be that the hot valve has a crack in it.

This is something that you would only see from the inside.

Here is a link to a diagram of the A212.

I have a similar problem. My A212 will not shut off during the fill and rinse when using medium or cold water. It does, however, cut-off when the initial fill is set to hot. Any ideas?
