Question Maytag washer horrible squeel noise all the time
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MAV7700AWW
Age: 5 - 10 years
My Maytag Atlantis washer has a horrible squeeling noise on any cycle, except for filling with water. Any ideas? It seems to work just fine, but the noise is terrible, worse than fingernails on a chalkboard and is very, very LOUD. Please help.

It is likely the belt that is squealing.

Check to see it the motor is moving freely as this is the belt adjustment.
