Maytag only fills hot or warm

The cold wash setting comes out warm. Warm is warm and hot is hot. But cold is definately NOT COLD!
We replaced the hoses and checked the conections and all is well with the water outlet. Cold rinse comes out warm too.

It sound like the water temperature switch has failed.
