Hi,

The control board you changed was the one on top, behind the timer?

Was the R-11 resistor burnt up on the old control board?

It maybe time to look at the motor control board on the bottom of the washer.

My Neptune is doing the exact thing as keedward. Same model and everything. I ready to trade it in or throw it out.

Here are some photos of what a bad control board looks like and what to do.

Maytag Neptune MAH4000AWW - No Spin.

To check the motor control board on the bottom of the washer you will have to remove the front panel.

Open the door and remove the four screws that hold the front on.
Two screws are on the door hinge side and two on the other.

Once you get the front off you will see the motor control board in the right front corner. Look close at the clear glass fuse and all the other parts to see if they are damaged.

Yeah, check it by looking at the clear glass fuse. If the fuse it good you will see a fine wire inside the glass.

Just look the board over good to see if anything looks burnt.

99% of the time when I see these boards go bad it something you can just see.

Well, how in the world do you get to see the board? Has a covering and looks difficult to take out and look. Thinking I am throwing it out. I have spent $450 on it two years ago.

It is official 2 - My motor control board was fried. Actually blew the black chip up. My son works for the telephone company and he is taking it to show off all the damage on the board.
