To check the motor control board on the bottom of the washer you will have to remove the front panel.
Open the door and remove the four screws that hold the front on.
Two screws are on the door hinge side and two on the other.
Once you get the front off you will see the motor control board in the right front corner. Look close at the clear glass fuse and all the other parts to see if they are damaged.
Well, how in the world do you get to see the board? Has a covering and looks difficult to take out and look. Thinking I am throwing it out. I have spent $450 on it two years ago.
The motor control board has a blown fuse. So I guess now I have to change motor and motor control board,. Thank you Maytag I quess the reason that your repairmen are so lonely is they don't want to fix these stupid things
It is official 2 - My motor control board was fried. Actually blew the black chip up. My son works for the telephone company and he is taking it to show off all the damage on the board.
