Default Maytag Neptune...help anyone?
Brand: Maytag
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hey folks, we have a fairly new Maytag Neptune front load washer. My wife opened the washer today to load it with clothes...and when she shut it...the control panel wouldn't light up...and the washer has NO POWER. Any thoughts?

Check for power at the wall outlet.

Thats the first thing i did. I checked the breaker/GFI...It was all fine. I plugged the vacuum in to the outlet and it worked fine.

I am thinking it might be the circuit board?

We have a Neptune Stackable Washer/Dryer. The washer model # is MHW2000AWW. We had a similiar problem where the machine would not light up or start and there is a small filter located in the back of the washer that was clogged with debris from our water. We just took it out and it has been working o.k. so far. Now we have a problem with water filling constantly in the tub. We have to disconnect water when not in use. I need to post a question to see if anyone has had this problem.

For Jeanie, you have a bad water solenoid inside the washer where the inlet hoses screw in, just replace it.
For isunomo, you probably have a burnt wire inside where the power cord comes in. Also look for a loose connector at the door switch.
