Unhappy Maytag/Neptune burning smell
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MAH7500AWW
Age: 5 - 10 years

This morning at the end of a regular wash cycle (completed normally) I noticed a pretty strong burning odor coming from the washer. We unplugged it immediately - afraid to run it again! What should we look for? Is this going to be something we can do ourselves, or should we call the repairman immediately?

Thanks!
SD

First determine where the smell was coming from. (console or under the washer )

Then check in that area for burnt wires or control boards.

It may be something that you can replace yourselves.

Here is a link to your washer model MAH7500AWW.
