Hello,

I have an older LA511 washer and currently the cold water does fill the tub on initial startup (only hot fills) and when going into rinse, the washer makes buzzing noise and does not fill with cold water. If control knob is turned a little, the tub will fill with hot water and complete cycle. Ihave checked the hoses and cold water comes out and also there is no lint in the screen on inlet valve. Does this indicate a water inlet valve problem and replace this part or a more serious electrical control panel prolem?

sounds like the water mixing valve has quit on the cold water side. I would replace it.
