I purchased a Maytag washer from a refurbished dealer. In order to bring the washer down on our steps I needed to remove the sheet metal. All completed and I have installed everything but the inlet valve wiring - which leads are positive or it doesn't matter?

The blue with the black tracer goes to the cold water valve and the orange with the black tracer goes to the hot valve.

They have white with the green tracer is the common wire.
