Default Matag washer won't agitate/cycle
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: lat9734aae
Age: 5 - 10 years

The washer completes its cycle but won't agitate in two of the cycles. It fills, spins and drains fine. Also seems to have wrong water temperature than those selected.Even when timer is moved manually it will not agitate. It does agitate in the delicate cycle. Could this be timer or transmission? Is it worth repairing, or just replace ? Any help would be appreciated.

If the washer will agitate in the other cycles then it is your timer that is causing your problems.

Here is a link to your washer model lat9734aae.

Ordered timer from Partselect, came next day. Installed new timer and washer is back to normal. Good advice and great service. Thanks Sheila!
