 Loud Whirling sound, slow spin@ end cycle Brand: Maytag Model Number: Lat9416 Age: 5 - 10 years
We get a terrific loud whirling "airplane take off' sound routinely during the final spin cycle. It is so loud it requires us to shut the machine off, move the clothes around and try restarting. It sounds like the tub should be moving in hyper speed but it really isn't moving any faster at all. It happens with all size loads and lately clothes are wetter and spin seems slower. Belts do not look worn but appear loose. They never have been changed. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. |
