Default Location of unbalance switch/mechanism
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: a512
Age: More than 10 years

The unbalance switch mechanism of my washer will not engage and turn off the he machine when it becomes unbalanced. Where is the switch located, so that I can determine if it connected or replace it.

The switch is located under the top of the washer at the back in the middle.

I still can't locate the switch. Could it be anywhere else? Is it inside the console?

Yes the switch is in the console the actuator is under the top of the washer.
