Default LG TROMM washing Machine 1E error code
Brand: Other
Model Number: WM1814CW
Age: 1 - 4 years

Our LG TROMM WM1814CW washing machine is just over 1 year old.

When I used the washing machine yesterday, I saw "1E" error code displayed after a few minutes' washing cycle (water came in ok at the beginning). "Possible Cause" in the manual listed 4 possibilities, only one seems likely: "The filter of the inlet hose clogged".

"1E" error message indicates water does not enter the dispenser, the water inlet filter may be clogged. So we followed instruction and unscrewed the water inlet hose, it looked ok (but we still cleaned it). However this did not help. We tried again today, same happened as well. It displayed "1E" error code after a few minutes of washing (water came in ok at the beginning).

Is this a sensor problem?

This is such bad timing, our one-year warranty just ran out... I am so disappointed with this quality.

Any help is highly appreciated!! Thanks very much!!

Try selecting a hot water wash and see it you get the same code.

You may have a faulty inlet valve.

Thanks Sheila for your reply, sorry I forgot to mention, we did try the hot cycle, but had same result. The water came in ok at the beginning, then after a few mins (longer than cold water) washing cycle, we got same 1E error code.

We unscrewed the hose from washer and put it to sink, tested the water flow ok.

it becomes inconvenient as we can not wash clothes for days, any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Check the connector at the inlet valve.

Check the connection at the board.

Check inside the valve for dirt.

are you sure you're reading IE and not LE for an error code?

quick fix is unplug the machine and see if it resets the error. if that doesn't work (occasionally does) LE error means your stator is booched. needs replacing.
