Default Leaking oil in tub
Brand: Speed Queen
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hi Ihave a speed queen washer which is leaking oil in to the tub and soiling the clothes. The other problem is that when I put in the fabric softner it drains out before I can start. Many Thanks

What you are seeing is most lijkely not oil. It is the fabric softner. If it is coming out on the clothes before water comes out, it will sit on those clothes and clump up, so when you dry it, and not notice it. It looks, just like oil. I would need a model #, to look for the reason, the fabric softener is coming out to early. What I want you to do is wipe out the tub with arag full of white vinegar, and then do a load of clothes with out Fabric softener, if all is well, then it is the fabric softener, not oil.
