Cool Large wheel at bottom of tub & belt
Brand: Please select
Model Number: MAV5000AWW
Age: Please select

I have a bad belt squeal and a vibrating noise when it goes into spin. The belt seams lose to me but all springs are ok.I can push the motor back about an inch and the belt will tighten up and the washer sound better for a few washes. Can this be adjusted? I think the lose belt has also caused the big pully wheel to wear out I can wiggle the wheel up and down just a little,is that a bearing or the wheel? Thanks any help will be greatly appreated

Check to make sure that the the motor slides freely on the plate and that it is clean.

The belt is adjust by the movement of the motor.

Here is a link to your washer model MAV5000AWW.
