I have a Kitchenaid washer. It drains but does not spin. I pulled the front cabinet off and found black rubber underneath it. I know it's direct drive, does it have a belt that needs to be replaced or is it a clutch or something like that. Is it worth fixing as I have had 5 porcelain tubs in 10 years as they rust out. Any help will be appreicated.
Thanks Betty and Appyguy I pulled the motor and pump off and sure enough the plastic coupler and rubber gasket were sheared off, you just saved me a fortune. Kitchenaid was going to chrage me $77.95 for the first 15 minutes. Your awesome
Thanks for the advice, for the 16 bucks it cost me for a part. Was easy to fix. Thanks to all I'll keep coming back here I now know the inetrnal works of my machine and it's not that hard to fix, could not have done it without the help I received here. Thanks Again.
P.S are they replacing rusty tubs with white tubs? next time ask for the blue speckeled ones, they last, as for the white ones seam to rust over nite.Bettyboop
