Kitchen Aid Washer won't drain or spin

My washer stops working at the end of the wash cycle. The other day if I turned the knob around enough times it would finally drain and complete the cyle with no problems. I assume this is a timer problem. What can I do?

Check and make sure the lid switch is work properly first.

If the lid switch checks OK then it is your timer.
