Washer kept shutting off 2 days ago during rinse cycle. Would start back after lid was re-shut. Now it won't finish the rinse cycle and won't drain. Will do the same thing on any setting. Could it be the switch?

Check the lid switch, if broken it will not spin or rinse. when it stops and does not spin, try lifting the lid and pushing the switch with a pensil to see if it starts. But if it is badly broken, the pensil test won't work, but usually the problem is a broken lid switch
