Default Kenmore washer vibrating during spin
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 110.91220100
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello. My Kenmore Heavy Duty washer vibrates violently during the spin cycle. The basket does not center itself after I move it off-center. I suppose the pads are worn by reading some of the other posts. Don't know if it's related, but I had a flood of 18" of water in the basement where the washer is situated about two months ago. I would appreciate any help...diagrams, instructions, part numbers, etc. Thank you. Rick

Check the counter weight spring to see if the hole in the base has rusted through.

If it has rusted through drill a hole as close to the original as possible and reconnect the spring.

With Sears product we don't have access to the pictorial breakdown.

Here is a link to the parts of your washer model 110.91220100.

Here is the counter weight spring.

Someone please help.
My washer broke, I have spent many hours getting it taken apart, fixed, and back together. One problem though....I didn't pay attention to the stupid counter weight spring.
The exact one that is in the pic above. How do I reconnect it?????
I know one side of it hooks to the metal frame, I think I found that hole, but how does it attach to the tub?
No matter where I try it everything is still off balance. If anyone has a close up pic of how it goes I would really appreciate it. (my wife is getting sick of the piles of laundry )
Thanks for any help.
Eric.
