lately the washer has had to be put in spin cyle a couple of times to get the water out. Now the water doesn't drain at all. Is this an indication of a worn belt finally breaking? Or is it the pump? Is it easy to repair? If not, is it worth it to have it repaired, considering its age.

Your washer does not have a belt, it is a direct drive unit that uses a coupler to join the motor and transmission.

It is either the pump or something is blocking the drain in the washer tub.

Take the drain hose out of the stand pipe and lower it holding it in a bucket.

If the water drains the tub is not blocked.

Drain the washer and run the spin cycle to make sure that it is not the motor.

The motor reverses to drain and spin.
