Model Number: 110.92582800
Age: More than 10 years

Top load Kenmore constantly starts for 15-20 seconds, then shuts down for 2 or 3 minutes. HELP!!!

It sounds like you have an electrical problem.

Check all the electrical connections.

Thanks for the reply. Could it be that the motor is overheating? It seems to run a little longer after it sits for awhile.

It could be the motor.

Check and see if there is something in the pump make the motor hard to turn.

Just had a tech fix it. It was the cycle switch for agitation speed. Here's my problem. 10 minute fix for over $200.00! $95.00 for labor and over $100.00 for the part. I just checked on this website and found the same part for $25.00. Is this normal or a I being ripped off?

What is the part number to the switch that the technician replaced?

Four times retail price is a sure ripoff. Talk to the guys' boss and get a rebate!
