Default Kenmore stack kit for new washer/old dryer
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 48102
Age: Less than 1 year

I just purchased a new Kenmore Model #48102 front load washer to replace older Kenmore. I specifically purchased a Kenmore for stacking compatibility (because there are definitely cheaper brands out there!)
I was told that the 48102 was just the newer model of my older washer so it would work.

I still have an the older Kenmore dryer (unsure of model number)

apparently the stacking mechanism has changed.

older Dryer has four "tabs" that were bolted into washer after top of washer had been removed. New washer's holes are in different position.

is there a stacking kit that will make this happen?

thanks in advance,
Shelby

What you have given as a model number is a stock number.

You will have to supply you model number from your dryer and your new washer.

It could be that the washer and dryer are made by two different manufacture.

Sears does not make any of there appliances.

They are made by Frigidaire, Whirlpool or General Electric.

So if one is made by say Whirlpool and the other is made by Frigidaire they may not stack.
