Hello all. I am having a problem with my Kenmore 80 series model #110.29842990 washer. When ever the washer hits the spin cycle the inner drums begins to wobble out of control making a loud banging noise and moving the washer around the room. Can someone please give me suggestions on what to check first and what a repair like this would typically cost.

Check the counter weight spring.

Sometimes the hole in the base that the spring is mounted in rusts through.

If it has you will have to drill a hole as close to the other one as you can and reconnect it.
