Default Kenmore front loader won't spin
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 417.40042990
Age: 5 - 10 years

the control panel was replaced less than a year ago. Could it be bad again? would this cause the front loader to not spin? It has also been making a loud noise such as bad bearings would make. Thanks for any advice.

In most front load washers they will not spin if the door does not lock.

But you're right it could be your control board.

It is hard to tell with noise what it would be.

The best thing to do is to have a repair person come in and have a look at it.

Default Tub Assembly Problem?

I am not an expert, but it may be the tub assembly. if the arms that support the tub assembly become corroded, they can break or bend, causing bad noises and other problems. (at least that's what my repair dude said)
