Default Kenmore Front Loader Noise
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 417.29042991
Age: 5 - 10 years

This front loader makes some squeals and squeeks as it washes. These are not too bad but make me think that something (a bearing?) is worn and needs to be replaced? Has anyone had a similar problem?
Thanks

Did you find out where the rust was coming from?

Do you get the same sounds when it goes into the spin cycle.

If it is the bearing you would hear it in the spin also.

It could be a wire or something else that is causing the noise.

Can you pin point where the sound is coming from.

Thanks for your reply. I have not found where the rust is coming from. I will get some white rags and wash them over the weekend to see if the problem is still there.

I have only noticed the noise in the wash cycle but I will try to position the machine on blocks so that I can see what is happening while it is running and perhaps pinpoint the source of the noise.

I've been a bit lazy. Its so heavy that I've put off investigating the problems.
