As I understand per other posts this is a Kenmore front load made by Frigidaire. All I have in the instruction manual is model 417 and cannot locate the entire thing in the machine.
A week ago we washed a couple of heavier than normal loads, after which we noticed clothes really wet. Water pump is fine. I have done several tests with machine empty. Tumble fills with water and then drains, however tumble does not spin at any point in time. I watched the motor and it kind of try to start but it moves a couple or milimeters and nothing. It just makes a little noise but does not accomplish anything.
I have no fear to get in my knees and fix this on my own. But what may be wrong with my washer? How can I make sure to order right part? How much could the parts cost?
Without being machin specific if your machine fills, tumbles, drains, fills, tumbles, drains then does nothing you can be sure the first place to go is the timer.
