With the clutch slipping it will not spin very good. | First I need to ask you what the transmission looks like, and/or where is it located? I finally got to look under the washer today and using the parts guide, I couldn't find a transmission..
I did take note of a couple of things I thought might be interesting...
Firstly, I may have mis-spoke when said it was spinning slow...actually it slows down to a stop. I start it and spin it manually, but when I let go it eventually comes to a halt.
However, if I hold the tub still(not that it really moves), and work the basket back and forth, should it be tight? I work it back and forth a little bit although it's tight, and I force it just a little bit clockwise, and then when I push in the button and watch it, it starts right up. Tonite I had to stand there for like 5 minutes watch clothes go round and round until they spun out. When we start a fresh load, however...we're back to square one. It doesn't spin. What would cause it to not work, but then suddenly work, seemingly based on twisting the basket in the tub?...and again, should the basket spin freely in the tub, or should it be basically stationary?
Edit: My wife and I were just talking, and it almost seems like there is hair or even a piece of clothing stuck up underneath that may be hindering it...Is that possible?
