i am trying to fix kenmore 80 series that agitates ,spins ,but will not drain, i checked coupler,pump, pump hoses,and lid switch, all were good when iran machine through a test wash when timer hit the spot where it is supposed to start pumping, nothing no clicks no advance it just layed there. i need to replace this timer right?

It does sound like the timer.

Have you tried the drain in each cycle?

If it will not drain anywhere take the pump off of the motor and check the impeller.

Can you please supply your model number?

Sheila is absolutely correct.

Remove the hose to the pump and look for debris.

You'd be amazed what can show up in a pump and cause it to jam.
