Angry Just lost spin cycle
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 110.20702990
Age: 5 - 10 years

hello i am new here and my washing machine wont spin out the clothes , but she does pump out the water , checked for belts none that i can see , she seams to be a direct drive or something , also the drive coupling from the motor to the transmission looks to be intact and fine. everthing under the machine looks nice and clean.when i put the selector on spin nothing happens , i just hear a weird scrapping noise of some sort .
is there anyway to test the transmission

Your drive coupling is stripped out and you can't see it without removing motor

hello bettyboop , OK i am sorry for ever secound quessing you , YOU were 100% correct .
i removed the motor and to my surrprise the coupling half that was in the transmission housing was broken , just like you said it would be .

Thank you very much for all your wisdom , well off to order a new coupling from your site
