Default Hub Cracked - Parts Advice
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WWSR3090T6WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I had a post that got deleted and I still had a remaining question.

My GE washer hub is cracked.. I can see it after removing the agitator.

http://www.geocities.com/vtkahns/GE_Washer_tub.jpg

I am unclear whether I can replace just the hub or if it is only sold as a drum, balance ring , hub assembly for this model.

WH45X0170 is the pn for the entire inner tub assembly I believe.. while I had originally thought I could order WH45X10027

Partselect.com - GE Washing Machine Parts And All Brands of Appliance Parts

Local repair guy says he found that I could order just the hub (and has done so and will lend me the wrench to get the nut off ) .

All though your model does not list the hub as a separate part that does not mean that it can't be replaced on its own.

I have checked other models and they have the same outer tub and agitator as yours.

On the link that you provide for the hub there is a list of different models. These are the ones that I have compared.

Here is a link to your washer model WWSR3090T6WW.

mine being a 3090T6WW , is not listed in the list of models that use that same hub... Is the T6 important to distinguish the models or will all WWSR3090's use that same hub ??

The page says: All Models that contain this part and start with wwsr3090 .. but does that mean any model with wwsr3090 will use the same hub ?

If so, I am home free..

Thanks for the follow up

Steve
