I need to remove the washer tub from the liner in order to clean between the tub and liner. I have removed the agitator and spanner nut. I also found 4 spring-loaded tabs on the center shafter near the bottom of the tub that I have depressed inward. But the tub is still as tight as ever. Please explain what I still need to do in order to get the tub loose, as something still seems to be holding it very tightly. Thank you!

The tabs that you released are for the lint filter on the bottom of the tub.

Sometimes the tub gets stuck on what is called the drive block.

This the part that the nut was screwed to.

It is only a small part about three inches long.

By giving the tub a couple of quick blows with something that will not damage the tub will loosen it.
